Search for missing players called off

The US Coast guard has stopped the search for two NFL players and a third man who were lost in the Gulf of Mexico waters off the Florida coast. The Oakland Raiders line-backer Marquis Cooper, free agent defensive linesman Corey Smith and William Bleakley had been missing since Saturday when their boat capsized during a fishing trip. One survivor, Nick Schuyler, was found but the other men were not despite a search that covered more than 24,000 miles.
