Rodgers simply the best as Packers rout the Falcons

Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay quarterback, called it the best game of his career. The Atlanta Falcons probably would not dispute that.

Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, ran for another TD and led the Packers to a stunning 48-21 rout of the top-seeded Falcons on Saturday night in Atlanta. "This just feels so good," said Rodgers, who threw for 366 yards as the Packers recorded the highest-scoring play-off game in their history.

"This probably was my best performance - the stage we were on, the importance of this game."

The Packers need to win one more on the road to complete their improbable run from sixth seed to the Super Bowl, but nothing looks out of the question the way Rodgers is playing.

He completed 31 of 36 passes to help Green Bay score 35 consecutive points, including a 70-yard interception return by Tramon Williams on the final play of the first half.

Also on Saturday, Pittsburgh recorded a 31-24 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC play-offs.
