Jameer Nelson scored 15 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as the Orlando Magic overcame Kobe Bryant's triple-double to win a wild 109-103 contest over the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant had 28 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for his 15th career triple-double, but it wasn't enough for the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Sixers extended their winning streak to six games and did so without breaking much of a sweat, roaring past the San Antonio Spurs for a 109-87 triumph.
Thaddeus Young scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting and Andre Iguodala added 21 and eight assists to lead Philadelphia's offensive attack. The Oklahoma City Thunder stormed past the dismal Detroit Pistons 89-79. LeBron James scored 14 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter as the Cleveland Cavaliers continued their home dominance with a convincing 92-78 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.
James added 14 rebounds and seven assists for the Cavaliers, who now are 20-0 at Quicken Loans Arena. Danny Granger scored 23 points and Mike Dunleavy added 22 as the Indiana Pacers hung on for a 111-104 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Troy Murphy added 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Pacers, who held an 89-65 lead after three quarters. Chris Bosh had 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead Toronto, who have lost five of their last six away from home.
Jamal Crawford scored 29 points as the Golden State Warriors escaped with a 119-114 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Michael Redd lit up the scoreboard with a season-high 44 points in the first three quarters and Charlie Villanueva added 25 as the Milwaukee Bucks held on to defeat the Sacramento Kings 129-122. The Minnesota Timberwolves staged a 6-0 run with less than two minutes left to pull ahead of the Phoenix Suns and that was just enough to carry them to a 105-103 road upset.
Antawn Jamison bagged a haul of 28 points as the Washington Wizards beat the New York Knicks 96-89, while Deron Williams finished with 27 points as the Utah Jazz hung on to a 101-91 win over the lowly Memphis Grizzlies. * With Agencies
