And there was enough space to get a good shot up." Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony had 22 points and JR Smith scored 11 of his 17 in the fourth quarter as the Denver Nuggets defeated the New Orleans Hornets for a 105-100 victory.
Chauncey Billups and Nene each scored 14 points for the Nuggets, who drew within half a game of the Hornets for second place in the Western Conference. New Orleans also lost their outright lead in the Southwest Division after Tony Parker's late shot lifted the San Antonio Spurs to a 108-106 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
