Allen boosts the Celtics


Ray Allen racked up 36 points as the NBA champions the Boston Celtics found their form to get the better of the Toronto Raptors 94-88 on Sunday. The Celtics remained in third place in the Eastern Conference, one game behind the first-placed Cleveland Cavaliers and half a game behind the Orlando Magic, who beat the San Antonio Spurs 105-98. Dwight Howard led the way for the Magic with 24 points.

Andre Iguodala hit 27 points as the Philadelphia 76ers had a 109-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks, while the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat 108-105. Amare Stoudemire bagged 26 points as the Phoenix Suns beat the Los Angeles Clippers 109-103, while the Sacramento Kings edged out the Dallas Mavericks 102-95. Jamal Crawford scored 32 points and made the game winning three-pointer to give the Golden State Warriors a 120-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
