Acts named for Corniche shows

ABU DHABI // Arab pop stars, international DJs and other artists will perform a series of free concerts on the Corniche public beach as part of the Yasalam entertainment programme for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The evening concerts will begin on October 27 and run through October 31, the day before the Formula One race. The lineup includes the Emirati singer Hussein al Jasmi, the Egyptian singer Mohammed Hamaki, and the Lebanese singers Myriam Fares, Fares Karam and Ragheb Alami.

"There will be big acts for Grand Prix ticket holders on Yas Island," said a spokeswoman for the organiser, Flash Entertainment. The full schedule for the concert series, called Beats on the Beach, can be found at www.yasalam.ae, along with other Yasalam events. hkhalaf@thenational.ae
