Frankie Dettori celebrates after winning the Godolphin Mile at the Dubai World Cup

France Galop set date for Frankie Dettori decision

Former Godolphin jockey Frankie Dettori will learn his fate next week after stewards set a date to consider his failed drugs test.

France Galop stewards will meet on December 4 to decide what action to take against Dettori after he tested positive for a banned substance.

The medical commission of the ruling body of French racing last week imposed a temporary suspension on the Italian jockey on medical grounds, following his positive test at Longchamp on September 16.

The commission forwarded its findings to the stewards for consideration and they will meet on Tuesday to discuss the case.

"The France Galop stewards to study Lanfranco Dettori's file on December 4," the governing body said on Twitter.
