Yousuf breaks the Els Course record

Khalid Yousuf, the Emirati golfer, eclipsed Lee Westwood, the European No 1, by setting a record on the Els Course in Dubai. His eight-under par score of 64, set while competing in the UAE National Monthly Medal, beat the previous mark of 65 set by Westwood. "The key to my round was a solid start, when I was four under after nine holes I knew I could do well if I maintained the focus," said Yousuf. The highlight of the round was an eagle on the 13th hole. sports@thenational.ae
