Q&A: Bruno Senna on the Singapore Grand Prix

Bruno Senna's future at the Williams team is uncertain after an unconvincing season, but the Brazilian is optimistic he can end the season well.

Do you feel Singapore's street circuit will suit your car?

Yeah, definitely. Our car has been very happy on high downforce tracks and here we're running everything we have, so it's good news for us. Coming off a couple of difficult races, we're hoping to come back and score some solid points for the team.

Your teammate Pastor Maldonado has out-qualified you a lot this year. What's your problem on Saturdays?

It's not an easy situation. Pastor has a driving style that is better suited to the tyres. Last year, I had a better run in qualifying than this year, which is abnormal. But the tyres have changed and so far it hasn't come down to my side too much. My race pace and consistency have been very good, so if I get qualifying right I know I can score some big points for the team.

You're just behind your teammate on points and he won in Spain. Can you also be a winner this season?

I'm sure we can. If you get everything in the right window, with the way the cars work then we are more than capable of having a good result.

What do you have to do in the next few races to ensure you secure your seat at Williams next year?

The focus is to continue scoring points consistently. There's no target for anything. The target for me has always been, since the beginning of the season, to qualify and do the best job I can in the races.
