Van Gaal feels strain at Bayern

Louis van Gaal, the Bayern Munich coach, is under pressure to deliver three points against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga today after a midweek defeat to Roma upset club bosses.

Despite losing 3-2 to Roma, Bayern still claimed top spot in their Champions League group having already qualified for the knockout stages.

But the Bundesliga is now their priority and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the club chairman, will not accept anything other than three wins and a draw from the remaining four league matches in 2010. "It is a tall order, but we want to and have got to achieve it," he said.

Van Gaalhas been warned by Oliver Kahn, the former goalkeeper, not to take his club's warnings lightly.

"Van Gaal is pushing his luck. We should not forget that Bayern have always had big coaches who have been successful - he is not alone there," Kahn told the Tz newspaper.
