United await medical clearance on Anders Lindegaard

Anders Lindegaard, the Denmark goalkeeper, looks set to join Manchester United from Norwegian club Aalesund if he passes a medical examination. 

The 26-year-old Lindegaard reportedly was being looked over by the United medical staff yesterday. 

He could be the long-term successor to Edwin van der Sar if the Dutch veteran retires at the end of the season.
