Euro 2012 kicks off this weekend - and for once, England go into a major competition with a distinct lack of hype.

A new manager, team selection rows and a low-key build-up has resulted in a muted atmosphere around the European Championships for England fans.

And The National's deputy sports editor Kevin Affleck believes the team will struggle to get out of the group stage.
