Samba keeps Rovers in the FA Cup

An injury-time equaliser from Christopher Samba earned Blackburn a replay they hardly deserved. Sam Allardyce's side were looking like going out at home to Coventry for the second successive year, thanks to Michael Doyle's deflected strike and a stunning 20-yard volley from Aron Gunnarsson. Blackburn had gone into a second minute lead thanks to Roque Santa Cruz's fifth goal of the season. Santa Cruz rifled a shot into the corner from an acute angle following a flick-on from Samba. But Gunnarsson levelled on the hour before Doyle's shot deflected off Samba and past Paul Robinson to set up a Cup shock. But stand-in keeper Andy Marshall spilled Keith Treacy's shot in the dying seconds and Samba pounced.
