Megson seeking home comfort against Stoke

BOLTON // Bolstered by last week's 3-2 victory over Portsmouth, Bolton will be hoping to piece together a first victory this season on home soil today when they face Stoke City. Gary Megson, Bolton's manager, must build on their win if they are to climb their way to safety, while Stoke - fresh from a defeat to Chelsea last weekend deep in injury time - will not be short on confidence. Megson can see his side entering a renaissance following the Pompey win. "Belief was there even though we had lost three games on the spin," he said yesterday. "I think it gives us the opportunity now to go on a run." Stoke have not won at Bolton in the top division since 1963. Bolton v Stoke, KO 6pm, Showsports Extra
