McLeish blames bad luck and decisions for bad away form

Alex McLeish insists he is unconcerned about Birmingham City’s failure to win away from home for nine months ahead of today’s derby clash at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Birmingham manager believes his side’s performances on their travels have been better than results would indicate. The club’s last away victory came at Portsmouth in March and they have had to rely on home form – one defeat in 16 months – to keep them away from the relegation zone.

McLeish said: “It’s not easy to go away and win football matches. We know we’re capable and, but for some decisions, we should have two or three wins.”
