Man City close to sending Vladimir Weiss on loan to Espanyol

Manchester City are near to sending Vladimir Weiss on a season-long loan to Espanyol.

Though the Slovakia winger, 21, has developed well during successful spells at Rangers and Bolton Wanderers, City's squad is heavily overmanned with the club attempting to sell or loan at least 10 senior professionals this summer in an attempt to control their wage bill.

Norwich City are pursuing two of their former Championship rivals key players as they reinforce for their return to the Premier League.

Norwich have had two offers rejected for Millwall's leading scorer Steve Morison and have inquired about Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

Leeds are also reluctant to sell the Scotland international and hope to sign the 23-year-old to an improved contract.
