Juventus player Vincenzo Iaquinta, right, vies for the ball with BATE Borisov's Sergei Sosnovski.

Juve saved blushes by Iaquinta

MINSK // Vincenzo Iaquinta scored a first-half double to help Juventus salvage a 2-2 draw against Belarus minnows BATE Borisov in Group H. The Italy forward Iaquinta saved the Serie A side's blushes by nodding in a Sebastian Giovinco cross in the 29th minute and firing through the legs of BATE keeper Sergei Veremko on the stroke of half-time. The hosts had taken control with goals by Sergei Kryvets and Igor Stasevich on 17 and 23 minutes. After two matches Juventus, who beat Zenit St Petersburg 1-0 in their opener, are second in Group H with four points, two behind leaders Real Madrid. Dynamo Kiev held Fenerbahce to a 0-0 draw in Group G. A tense first half turned into a scrappy game marred by constant fouls. With the partisan crowd behind them, Fener had most of the possession but failed to capitalise, continuing their poor form in the domestic league on the European front as well. "We dominated the game. We did not give away any chances," said the Fener coach Luis Aragones said. "Our aim is to be victorious in all of the remaining games," *Reuters with AP
