Heracles seal double deal

Heracles Almelo have pulled off a double signing by agreeing a deal to bring in forward Juha Hakola while handing a professional contract to youngster Paddy John. Hakola, 21, will join from the Estonian club Flora Tallinn when the transfer window opens tomorrow, while John - brother of NEC Nijmegen's on-loan Collins John - is a graduate of the club's youth academy. Hakola, a Finland youth international, impressed during a recent trial in Almelo. "Hakola showed us that he plays at a very good standard," the Heracles director Nico Jan Hoogma told the club's website. "He is talented, explosive and has good technique and crossing ability." John, 18, is the current top scorer for the FC Twente/Heracles Almelo youth team, part of the clubs' combined academy. "Paddy is a very talented winger," Hoogma said. "We want to see him grow further at Heracles. We are very happy that we could sign both players."
