Fulham make Europe

Fulham ended a remarkable season yesterday by clinching the final Europa League spot, despite losing at home to Everton. Roy Hodgson's men, who avoided relegation on the final day of last season, started the day two points ahead of Tottenham in the race for seventh. Leon Osman's double gave Everton a 2-0 victory, but Spurs also lost, 3-1 at Liverpool. An Alan Hutton own-goal and strikes from Fernado Torres and Yossi Benayoun clinched a 3-1 win for Rafa Benitez's men with Robbie Keane scoring a consolation against his old club. Arsenal ran riot at home to Stoke City in the first-half. They were 4-1 up at the break thanks to a James Beattie own-goal, Robin van Persie's double, one from the spot, and Abou Diaby's header. Ricard Fuller scored a penalty consolation for Stoke and that is how it stayed.

Hugo Rodallega gave Wigan a 1-0 win at home to Portsmouth and Felipe Caicedo's strike saw Manchester City beat Bolton 1-0. Blackburn and already-relegated West Brom played out a goalless draw at Ewood Park. * Agencies
