BERLIN // Germany forward Lukas Podolski's hamstring injury is worse than initially feared, likely ruling the Arsenal striker out of action until December.
Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt, the national team doctor, examined Podolski in Munich and found the 28 year old had a hamstring tear in his left leg.
"Unfortunately I'll be out a long while, around three months," Podolski tells Bild, the German daily.
Podolski will miss World Cup qualifiers for the rest of the year.
He was stretchered off in the 50th minute of Arsenal's Champions League play-off victory over Fenerbahce last week, when it was thought he would be out for up to 10 weeks.
Milan welcome Kaka back
Kaka was one of Real's most expensive signings in 2009 when the club paid Milan ?65 million (Dh314.6m) for him after a highly-succesful six-season spell with the Rossoneri.
After being left on the sidelines under Jose Mourinho, Kaka's chances of more regular first-team action at the Santiago Bernabeu faded further when his former coach at Milan, Carlo Ancelotti, took over the 'Galacticos' for the new season.
Kaka was met by dozens of fans upon his arrival at Milan-Linate airport on Monday, a scene that was repeated when he met club vice-president Adriano Galliani late on Monday.
Sissiko released by PSG
Paris St Germain have terminated Mohamed Sissoko's contract by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old former Valencia, Liverpool and Juventus midfielder has dropped down Laurent Blanc's pecking order at the Parc des Princes and was loaned out to Serie A side Fiorentina last season.
Sissoko made 28 appearances for PSG since his ?7m move from Juventus in July 2011 and had been reportedly linked with Sky Bet Championship side Reading before he was out of contract.
"Paris Saint-Germain and Mohamed Sissoko have agreed to terminate the player's contract with the capital club," PSG confirmed on their official website.
"The player is now out of contract and free to sign with another European club."
