Club World Cup format to stay the same until 2014

Chuck Blazer of the Fifa executive committee said the current seven-team format will remain in place until at least 2014. Frederic Kitingie, the team manager of TP Mazembe, last month said the tournament should have two four-club groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Mexico united behind Pachuca

Leobardo Lopez of Pachuca said Mexico will unite in support of the team while they are in Abu Dhabi. "When any Mexican club is participating in an international tournament, all Mexicans want them to do well. We have the support of all these people and we want to create history for our fans and our country."

Big guns complete club line-up

Internacional of Brazil are scheduled to arrive in Abu Dhabi today, and Inter Milan tomorrow, as the final teams join the tournament. Pachuca preceded them on Tuesday, three days ahead of their first match. Internacional and Inter each arrive five days ahead of their first games.
