James Morrison, right, has been one of West Brom's better players so far this season.

Transfer news: Mowbray furious as Morrison linked with Bolton

The West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has dismissed claims that his Scotland international midfielder James Morrison will be sold to Bolton Wanderers. The Baggies boss was unhappy that a £3 million move to the Reebok Stadium was alleged to have leaked by the Lancashire club. Mowbray is adamant that Morrison, 23, is going nowhere. "It's dead as far as I am concerned and dead as far as James is concerned," Mowbray said to the Birmingham Mail. "We are not in a position to sell anybody at the moment."

Stoke City have gave the Senegalese international defender Lamine Diatta a chance to earn himself a contract. Diatta, 33, has been a free agent since he was released by Newcastle United at the end of last season. He started training with the club at the start of the week as the manager Tony Pulis considers his transfer options.
