Arsenal and Liverpool will face off in cup

Arsenal will host Liverpool and the defending champions Manchester United will travel to second-tier Barnsley in the last 16 of the League Cup. Liverpool were thrashed 6-3 by Arsenal at Anfield when they last met in the competition in January 2007. Tottenham, last year's finalists and the 2008 champions, are at home to Everton in the fourth round while Chelsea will host Bolton. In the other all-Premier League clashes, Stoke is at Portsmouth and Sunderland takes on Aston Villa. Manchester City will host the Championship side Scunthorpe and Peterborough, another second-tier side, will travel to Manchester City. The matches will be played on October 27 and 28.
