Al Jazira suspend midfielder Yaser Matar after discipline breach

ABU DHABI // Yaser Matar, the Al Jazira midfielder, has been suspended for disciplinary reasons, the club has revealed.

"The club management decided to suspend him for an indefinite period due to his lack of seriousness in performing his duties as a professional player," Ali Al Nuaimi, Al Jazira's spokesman, said today.

"His future at the club will be decided after an executive committee meeting and until such time the player will not take or be involved in any part in the club's activities."

The 27 year old is the younger brother of Ismail Matar, the national team and Al Wahda captain.

Yaser Matar moved to Jazira from Wahda in 2010 and his contract was extended up to 2018 last year.
