ISLAMABAD // Waqar Younis, the Pakistan coach, wants the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to install a batting coach because Javed Miandad is unwilling to do the job full-time.
Miandad refuses to be the batting coach for personal reasons, though the all-time leading runs scorer for Pakistan in Test matches gave tips during a two-day conditioning camp at Lahore which ended on today.
Younis says he does "not understand why we keep going around and around," and if Miandad is not willing to accept the role then the PCB should search again.
Younis added that whoever becomes the batting coach will be "more than welcome."
Pakistan leave on tomorrow for a tour of thw West Indies to play two Tests, five one-day internationals (ODIs) and a Twenty20 international.
