Join a discussion of God’s Soldiers by Fawaz Haddad. Set in modern-day Iraq, a father goes in search of his son who has joined Al-Qaeda, hoping to take him back to Syria. The father is kidnapped and finds himself confronting Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, once Iraq’s most notorious insurgent.
