That's the sound of a million credit cards being hastily removed from purses, ready to purchase their owners something from Vera Wang's new range of (slightly more) affordable bridalwear. Scar-Jo the model

The newly single actress shows no signs of her recent personal troubles as she works the rich-in-the-Riviera look for her new promo shots of the "modernist resort" line for the fashion label, Mango. Our favourite outfits include the one-shoulder pink dress and the white-and-red striped jumper.

Top Rankin

The influential photographer Rankin is taking on the industry's accepted conventions in his new exhibition Snapped!, which was commissioned by the All Walks organisation to prove that women of all shapes, sizes, ages and races can be part of fashion. At London's National Portrait Gallery on February 11.

Prada does politics

The Italian designer has spoken to Vogue about her burning passion to pursue a career in politics. She might have to learn a little diplomacy, though - remember opera-gate, where she reportedly demanded thinner extras in Attila at the Met? Actually, she and Berlusconi might not be too different after all...

The model-turned-actor-turned-tweeter and his eternally youthful wife were booed on the red carpet by photographers at Sao Paulo Fashion Week, for turning up several hours late. Kutcher's response? A peace sign.

Sartorial snubs

It was a dinner being held in honour of the creative director of Gucci, Frida Giannini - but the enigmatic US Vogue editor Anna Wintour has been blasted for wearing Tom Ford, who had held Giannini's title until his split from Gucci in 2004. Rude or retro?
