Workers injured in Sharjah building collapse
More than a 100 workers have been rushed to hospital after the collapse of a building under construction in the Abu Shagara district of Sharjah this afternoon. Four workers suffered serious injuries after the car park for Sharjah Municipality collapsed while they were working inside, and are being treated at Kuwait Hospital, Col Mohammed Eid al Madhloom of Sharjah Police said. The collapse comes two weeks after the death of a construction worker when a building's roof collapsed in Ras al Khaimah, and two months after an under-construction building collapsed in the Deira region of Dubai.
