What are your thoughts on vocational education?
The stigma against vocational schools, that they are for underachievers, remains strong throughout the Emirates, and beyond. But this kind of training prepares young adults for professions that will be in demand now and in the future, whereas new graduates are leaving universities with degrees, but little in the way of job skills. Do you think there are students who would benefit from forgoing higher education in favour of vocational training? Or would these young people be selling themselves short by not at least trying to attend a university?
