Warehouses in Sharjah catch fire

SHARJAH // About 10 warehouses caught fire in Sharjah’s Industrial area 12 last night. Officials say it is one of the biggest fires in Sharjah this year.

Brig Abdullah Saeed Al Suwaidi, the director general of Sharjah Civil Defence, said the fire started after 9pm.

"We have not reported any casualty so far we shall be able to confirm once the blaze is completely controlled," he said. The director general said the cause of the fire was unknown.

The blaze slowed traffic in Sharjah since most roads in the neighborhood had to be closed.
