UAE warns football fans travelling to Bahrain to observe laws


ABU DHABI // Emiratis travelling to Bahrain to cheer on the national football team have been urged to observe the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the traffic rules on the highways.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on state news agency, WAM, fans were asked to obey the rules for their own safety.

The UAE Embassy in Manama has set up a 24-hour operations room to assist the citizens in cases of emergency, said Sheikh Abdullah Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry.
