UAE satellite beams back first images

DubaiSat-1 beamed back its first image today: a shot of the Palm Jebel Ali. The satellite, which is orbiting about 680 kilometres above the Earth, was launched last week. The Emirates Institution for Advanced Science & Technology (EIAST) said the satellite, which achieved optimal orbit earlier this week, orbits the earth four times a day, sending images of the UAE as often as possible. *The National
