UAE condemns Israel at UN Security Council over treatment of Palestinians

The UAE has condemned Israel for allowing "dangerous practices in the occupied Palestinian Territories" that are hampering peace negotiations with the Palestinians, the state news agency Wam reported yesterday.

Ahmed Al Jarman, the UAE's permanent representative to United Nations, made the statement to the UN Security Council session in New York this week. He was one of the more than 45 speakers who attended the debate.

The UN says Mr Al Jarman also called on Israel to stop its attacks and raids on the Gaza Strip.
