UAE flights not affected by fire
ABU DHABI // Flights from London to the UAE are largely unaffected by a fire that broke out at Heathrow air traffic control earlier today. A travel consultant with Emirates in Dubai said that while the company was aware of the issue, all flights from London to the UAE would depart on time. "There haven't been delays or cancellations for Emirates flights," the consultant said. The Etihad Airways office in London said that a flight departing from London at 9.10 am had been delayed until 10.50 am, but that no other delays were expected. Passengers boarding flights to Abu Dhabi should check in normally, the office said. kshaheen@thenational.ae
