Six links to open between major motorways to free up Sheikh Zayed Road

Six links to Dubai's major motorways - Sheikh Zayed, Al Khail and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (formerly Emirates Road) roads - are to be opened between Jebel Ali Free Zone and Interchange 10.

The flyovers, part of a plan to ease traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road, will also create a link between the investment and economic zones of Dubai World's projects. Four footbridges will be built for pedestrians.

Dates for the completion of all six roads were not available but the Roads and Transport Authority said several were already operational.
