Driver hurt as cable lorry sheds its load
AL AIN // A Pakistani driver suffered moderate injuries yesterday morning when his lorry tipped over at a roundabout. The accident occurred at Umm Al Osh on the truck road between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain at around 9am. According to police, the driver, in his thirties, entered the roundabout at high speed then lost control of the lorry, which was laden with electrical cables. Traffic on the route was delayed as civil defence crews worked to clean up diesel fuel that had spilt on to the road surface and remove the lorry.
The driver was taken to Mafrag Hospital for treatment. ealghalib@thenational.ae
