The official holiday to mark the Islamic celebration of Al Isra Wal Miraj, in which the Prophet Mohammed ascended into heaven, will be held on Thursday, June 30.
According to state news agency Wam, all workers in private sector organisations in the UAE will be entitled to an extra day’s holiday.
