ABU DHABI // This life is a transit stage to plant and build for the hereafter, worshippers will be reminded in today's sermon.
"Thank Allah, who has prepared for his believers what no eye has seen and no ear has heard like, and what did not occur to a human's heart," the sermon says about heaven.
The sermon cites a Quranic verse that instructs believers to fear Allah and to look at what they have prepared for tomorrow.
"Believers, Allah has made this life a passageway, and the hereafter a final destination. And this life is a farm for the hereafter; one gains there what he planted here," the sermon says.
People will also be reminded of the characteristics of heaven: there are 100 classes of people there, and between each "there is as much [distance] as there is between the earth and the sky".
Each person's class depends on the grade of his honesty, faithfulness and good, and how much that person's heart lacks envy and hatred for others.
"Heaven's inhabitants eat and drink," according to the Prophet Mohammed.
However, their clothes remain brand new, their youth never ends and they live eternally in happiness.
