Technical fault during take-off causes delays for Etihad passengers
An Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi to Chicago experienced a technical fault during takeoff on Saturday, causing a four-hour delay for passengers, according to an Etihad spokesman.
No one was hurt during the incident on the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, flight EY 151.
"The aircraft returned to stand, and passengers transferred to another Boeing 777 aircraft," the spokesman said in an email statement.
"The flight departed 4 hours behind schedule. Safety is our highest priority and Etihad Airways regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers."
