Sheikh Mohammed's initiative spreads spirit of union through trees
The Dubai Municipality centre in Hatta distributed 4,000 plants to residents to mark National Day.
The distribution came after Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, suggested planting union trees across the country for the celebration.
Each house and residential complex were given plants of two shade trees and a fruit tree.
"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed's initiative to plant trees reflects many noble values our nation stands for," said Omar Saeed Al Matyoee, the centre's head. "Let us spread the spirit of union."
