Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid launches YouTube channel

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched a YouTube channel, the first such channel hosted by a leader in the Arab World.

The channel underlines Sheikh Mohammed’s “growing interest in adapting modern technologies to consolidate direct interaction with society”, according to a statement from Dubai Government Media Office.

The channel will feature Sheikh Mohammed’s official and personal news, activities and initiatives.

It will also contain exclusive video material that has never been shown before, said officials. Ceremonies and national celebrations in Dubai and across the UAE will also be broadcast live.

Visitors to the channel will also get a chance to post videos they have recorded during events attended by Sheikh Mohammed, by emailing them to mbrvideos@gmail.com.
