Sheikh Khalifa travels to Pakistan on private visit


DUBAI // Sheikh Khalifa, the President of the UAE, yesterday left for a private visit to Pakistan that is expected to last several days.

He was seen off by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, according to state news agency, Wam.

Sheikh Khalifa is being accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking officials.

They include Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khalifa’s Representative in the Eastern Region; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, adviser to the President; Mohammed Habroush Al Suweidi, adviser to the President; and Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs.

The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi would not comment on the trip because it is a private visit.
