Science programme will 'encourage Emiratis to enter energy field'

Thirteen Emirati students have been chosen to take part in a six-week internship organised by Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.

The students, all of whom are studying for - or are about to graduate with - degrees that specialise in science, engineering or computer science, will begin the programme on July 1.

They will conduct research into advanced energy and sustainable technologies. The programme is a useful tool to encourage Emiratis to enter the renewable energy field, said Dr Lamya Nawaf Fawwaz, Masdar's executive director.
