Satellite launch a success

The National staff

Yahsat's second satellite, Y1B, successfully launched from Kazakhstan yesterday at 2.18am (Abu Dhabi time).

Weighing more than 6,000 kilograms, it has a 15-year lifespan. It will be used for government and commercial applications such as a satellite broadband service.
