Saleh's family not living in Abu Dhabi, says analyst

Claims that members of Yemeni ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh's family are living in Abu Dhabi have been dismissed by an analyst.

The Yemen Times said his son, Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, was living in the capital and had been joined there by Tariq Mohammed Abdullah Saleh, a nephew of the ex-president.

Both men hold senior positions in the armed forces. However, Dr Mustafa Alani, of the Gulf Research Centre, said the report was inaccurate.

"Ahmed is still in command and was definitely in Sanaa yesterday," he said. "I don't feel they are planning to leave the country."
