RAK police arrest 131 on drug-related charges and make 85 seizures


Ras Al Khaimah Police have arrested 131 people on drug-related charges and made 85 drug seizures in 10 months.

Police seized 60,000 tablets of tramadol, a painkiller, about 87 kilograms of hashish and undisclosed quantities of heroin, opium and marijuana, said Col Ibrahim Ali, the director of the emirate's drug-enforcement administration.

Police have conducted awareness campaigns for all age groups in 26 locations across the emirate this year.
