Private sector also gains holiday for Al Israa Wal Miraaj

The National staff

Workers in the private sector have been granted a public holiday on Sunday, June 17, for Al Israa Wal Miraaj, which celebrates the ascension of Prophet Mohammed.

Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, today clarified that both private and public sectors would be given the holiday to mark the occasion.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced the date for the government sector earlier this week.
