Pirates adjust ransom deadline

The National staff

Somali pirates have extended the deadline to May 15 for payment of US$2.85 million (Dh10.4m) for the release of 22 crewmen from the hijacked MV Albedo.

The prior deadline was April 26. The cargo ship was hijacked in November 2010 after it left Jebel Ali for Kenya.
