Photography exhibition to return to Saadiyat

ABU DHABI // An exhibition of Emirati photography is to return to Manarat al Saadiyat next autumn.

Emirati Expressions, which made its debut in 2008, will reopen at the gallery on October 19. The gallery's current exhibition, Splendours of Mesopotamia, closes on Monday.

The latest instalment of the fine art photography exhibition will feature new works by Emirati and guest photographers created in a series of workshops that began last month.

The workshops are being led by the veteran American photographer and artistic director of the exhibition, Stephen Shore.

Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the chairman of the Tourist Development and Investment Company, said the forthcoming exhibition offered Emirati photographers a chance to showcase their work.

"It aims to foster opportunities for them to learn from some of the world's prominent experts facilitating new work and creative exchange, and it's great we can involve Emirati artists in all aspects of the exhibition, including the publication, logo design, and museography," he said.

Emirati Expressions will run until January 28.
