US socialite Paris Hilton smiles during a press conference in Dubai on June 17, 2009.

Paris Hilton to return to Dubai

DUBAI // The American socialite and hotel chain heiress Paris Hilton will visit the city Thursday night for a party celebrating the second anniversary of the Japanese restaurant Okku.

Hilton will first walk a red carpet into the five-star Monarch Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road before heading upstairs to take over hosting duties at midnight.

On Tuesday the star took to Twitter to tell her fans the news: "Planning a trip to Dubai very soon. So excited! Can't wait!"

The restaurant released few details on her involvement in the event, although Hilton reportedly pulls in six figures to host events.

This is a repeat visit for the 30-year-old socialite, who spent several weeks in Dubai while filming a version of her reality TV show, Paris Hilton's My New BFF-Dubai. Although the show recently premiered on several MTV networks across the world, it has yet to air in the UAE due to ongoing litigation between its UAE-based producers and the US-based distributors. There are currently no plans to show the series on MTV Arabia, said an MTV spokesperson.
